Bex Appointed as District Inclusion, Wellbeing & Accessibility Lead!

North Hambleton District Scouts is thrilled to announce the appointment of Bex as our new District Inclusion, Wellbeing & Accessibility Lead, a role dedicated to ensuring every young person and volunteer feels welcomed, supported, and able to thrive in Scouting.

Bex brings a wealth of experience, positivity, and passion for creating spaces where everyone can belong. Her commitment to wellbeing and accessibility shines through everything she does, from championing inclusive practices to promoting mental health awareness and ensuring our activities are open to all.

As part of her new role, Bex will be working closely with Groups and Sections across the District to:

  • Support leaders in building inclusive programmes
  • Promote wellbeing and accessibility at every level
  • Encourage open conversations about mental health and belonging
  • Help shape a District culture where everyone feels valued and empowered

Her appointment marks an exciting step forward for North Hambleton, reinforcing our commitment to inclusion and care for every member of our Scouting family.

When asked about her aspirations for the role Bex said: “My vision is that every young person and volunteer feels able to participate, belong and thrive. We all have different strengths, different challenges and different journeys. Sometimes we simply need a different route to the same destination, and I want to help remove unnecessary barriers so everyone has the opportunity to fulfill their Scouting journey, whatever that journey may look like.

Join us in congratulating Bex on her new role, and in celebrating the positive energy and compassion she brings to our District. With her leadership, we’re ready to make Scouting even more welcoming, supportive, and inspiring for all.
