Cubs is for young people aged 8 to 10½ and builds on the skills, confidence and independence developed in Beavers. In North Hambleton District, Cub Packs deliver a balanced programme of adventure, challenge and fun that supports young people’s physical, emotional and social development.

Cubs participate in a wide range of activities including outdoor adventures, camps, sports, creative challenges and community engagement. Through the badge and awards programme, Cubs develop teamwork, problem-solving, leadership and resilience, while being encouraged to take increasing responsibility for themselves and others.

Sessions are delivered by trained adult volunteers who ensure activities are inclusive and accessible. North Hambleton District is committed to making reasonable adjustments in line with Scouts UK policy, enabling all Cubs to participate, progress and achieve to the best of their ability, while maintaining safety and enjoyment for the whole Pack.
