NHDS Competitions

North Hambleton District Scouts are hosting a badge competition, and we want you to get involved!

We want you to create our first District Scout Camp Badge, as we celebrate the three birthdays this year of Squirrels, Beavers, and Cubs. This competition is open to Scouts and Explorers too — the winning design will become our official District Camp Badge, which will be given out while we celebrate all three birthdays!

We look forward to seeing all the incredible designs that come in, and we hope to see lots of Scouting elements included in these creations. Just make sure the design is simple enough to be turned into a detailed embroidered badge!

Entries must be submitted using the form below by 30th April at 12:00 PM.

All designs will be judged by a panel of District volunteers, with winners announced during the week commencing 11th May 2026.

1. Who can take part
This competition is open to all members of North Hambleton District Scouts – that’s Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, and adult volunteers.

2. The theme
We’re looking for a badge design that captures the spirit of District Camp. Think adventure, the outdoors, camping, friendship, and everything that makes Scouts special.

3. How to enter

You can submit one design per person.
Your design should be your own original work.
Please submit your entry using the official form, including your name, group, and section.

4. Closing date
Make sure your entry is submitted by 30th April at 12:00 PM.

5. Judging and results

A panel of District volunteers will review all entries, looking for creativity, effort, and how well your design represents District Camp.
Winners will be announced week commencing 11th May 2026 via the District website and leaders’ WhatsApp groups.
We’ll also contact winners directly by email.

6. Recognition

Everyone who enters will receive a digital certificate to recognise their effort.

7. Permissions
By entering, you’re giving North Hambleton Scouts permission to use your design in District materials, including the camp badge, website, social media, and newsletters.

8. Safeguarding

Please make sure your design is appropriate and respectful.
Don’t include personal information such as full names or addresses in your design.
